About the role

Supply Chain Network Optimization team at Castrol drives end‑to‑end sourcing and manufacturing strategies for new product introductions. The SME Lead defines network roadmaps, evaluates make/buy options, and partners with NPI planners to ensure cost‑effective, reliable supply. Hybrid role based in Pune, India with occasional travel, offering relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

What you’ll do

Determine sourcing and manufacturing strategies with NPI and supply planning teams
Lead end‑to‑end network optimization initiatives and roadmap
Evaluate make/buy decisions and support new product introductions
Collaborate with global NPI, Net Ops, costing, and planning teams
Manage RCCP and long‑range capacity planning (>6M)
Provide feasibility inputs for tenders and business opportunities
Ensure cross‑functional alignment across marketing, technology, and regional contacts
Maintain backup continuity for network optimization activities

What you’ll bring

Master's degree or equivalent experience
8-12 years product planning experience
Expert knowledge of ERP/SAP
Advanced Excel and business reporting tools
Experience with network optimization tools (e.g., Cosmic Frog)
Project management experience
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Understanding of BP HSSE&C principles
