Senior Manager, FAAS Controllership Transformation

About the role

EY GDS FAAS (Controllership Transformation) Senior Manager in Kolkata, WB, IN, with travel required. The role drives SAP finance platform implementations across record-to-report areas, providing deep techno-functional expertise and leading delivery teams. Day-to-day work includes hands-on SAP FI/CO, BPC, Group Reporting, and S/4HANA delivery, AI solution design for R2R, proposal and solution development, business development, and managing 5-8 FTEs.

What you’ll do

• Use deep techno-functional knowledge to drive SAP finance platform implementation in record to report areas, with a focus on hands-on technology implementation on the functional side
• Provide subject matter expertise and lead delivery teams in SAP-led record to report transformation/implementation across process areas such as revenue recognition, accruals, intercompany reconciliati
• Lead pursuit teams to understand client problem statements and formulate solutions
• Lead development of client-specific solutions for the engagement team and lead proposal development or proposal teams
• Lead collaboration with market teams to develop relationships and drive business growth for EY, and collaborate across service lines to ensure smooth project execution
• Lead development of internal capability and lead training sessions to coach internal teams
• Directly manage a team of 5-8 FTEs in one or more solution areas, developing people through coaching, motivation, and guided training, and having career conversations with seniors
• Lead operational initiatives within the practice areas

What you’ll bring

• 10-15 years of relevant consulting experience in record to report transformation (not industry user experience)
• Certification and/or 4 years end-to-end implementation experience of SAP ECC FI/CO, SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO/COPA/Central Finance
• Deep end-to-end techno-functional knowledge of SAP finance platform (SAP FI, CO, COPA, Closing Cockpit, SAP BPC, SAP Group Reporting, SAP FI/CO integration with SAP MM, SD, PP)
• Deep techno-functional knowledge of SAP finance platform/solution integration with AI-based technologies and hands-on experience designing AI solutions for record to report areas
• Intensive knowledge of consolidation process and tools such as SAP Group Reporting and SAP BPC, including mapping operational chart of accounts to Group Chart of Accounts
• Knowledge of SAP Accrual engine and SAP RAR
• Ability to lead delivery teams or workstreams in large projects for one or more solution areas
• Willingness to travel for short or long duration at short notice

• Experience of working with international clients
• Experience with previous multinational consulting firms or Big4 firms
• Knowledge and experience of AI solutions development in record to report area
