Lead Full Stack Developer (Angular and C#/.NET)

About the role

Lead Full Stack Developer (Angular and C#/.NET) at SimCorp is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of intricate software solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software that meets business requirements and technical specifications. The Lead Software Engineer takes ownership of key engineering projects, provides technical guidance to junior engineers, and ensures that software is delivered on time and within scope. The position demands proficiency in .NET technologies, Azure cloud ecosystem, REST APIs (OData), PowerShell, design patterns (OOP, SOLID), TDD, BDD, CI/CD, DevOps principles, unit and integration testing (NUnit), code quality tools (SonarQube), Git, Agile methodologies, and software design and testing practices. The role also includes setting up engineering excellence, managing quality assurance, refactoring code, researching tools and frameworks, and working as part of a scrum team to reach sprint definitions. What you’ll do

• Apply talents to all stages of the development lifecycle, including review of user stories, development, design, code reviews and writing automated tests.
• Drive development of new backend features and system enhancements using .NET, databases, and Azure technologies.
• Work closely with the system architect and design a solution according to the architectural direction.
• Work closely with the product owner and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical insights.
• Setting up engineering excellence inside your team and continuously improving it.
• Managing quality assurance, refactoring existing code, researching tools and frameworks to enable future innovations.
• Work as part of your scrum team to reach the definition of done within each sprint.

What you’ll bring

• More than 6 years of practical experience using .NET technologies, particularly C# and Microsoft .Net, including a minimum of 2 years in a lead or senior position.
• Real world experience building REST APIs using the .NET stack (OData).
• Experience and proficiency with PowerShell and design patterns (OOP, SOLID).
• Practical knowledge in solution and system design, cloud services, pipelines, and architecture — preferably on Azure.
• Experience in CI/CD, DevOps principles, unit and integration testing (NUnit), and code quality tools such as SonarQube.

Nice to have

• Experience with JS/TypeScript, Angular, Node.js
• Knowledge of writing VS Code extensions or Electron-based applications
• DB experience – SQL
• Experience in the FinTech industry
