About the role
The Grid System Integration (GSI) team's HVDC Solutions Line (SL) in Noida is seeking a Lead RAM Engineer to coordinate, create, verify, and validate RAM records for HVDC systems and subsystems. Day-to-day work includes leading RAM initiatives, tracking KPIs during project close-out, performing Liquidated Damages assessments, analyzing RAM events per CIGRE guidelines, developing automated RAMS dashboards, and enforcing engineering discipline during Tender (ITO) and close-out phases. The role also involves promoting EHS practices and providing technical guidance to customers and colleagues in line with CIGRE, IEC, and IEEE protocols.
What you’ll do
- Lead RAM initiatives for the HVDC SL; consult with key stakeholders and enforce standard governance processes
- Track RAM KPIs during the project close-out phase; conduct regular risk assessments and performance predictions backed by detailed data analysis
- Perform critical Liquidated Damages (LD) assessments; apply contractual obligations to RAM assessments while minimizing risk exposure
- Coordinate with Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) to record detailed assessments of RAM-related incidents; review RAM data with regional project management teams and customers
- Contribute to RAM proposals during the Tender (ITO) phase by reviewing customer requirements
- Analyze RAM events in accordance with CIGRE guidelines
- Streamline RAM data flow between internal and external stakeholders, including development of automated RAMS dashboards
- Apply Return on Experience (ROE) from close-out projects to improve future RAM proposals and provide recommendations for product improvements based on field failure data
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- Minimum of 5 years in reliability engineering or a related field
- Substantial knowledge and practical experience performing Reliability & Availability assessments within the electrical industry, preferably HVDC
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in reliability analysis tools and software
- Excellent people skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Capable of structuring defendable arguments based on evidence, assumptions, and data-driven decisions
- Personal commitment to professional standards and responsibilities toward society, the profession, and the environment
Nice to have
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies
- Professional certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
