About the role
GeForce NOW team at NVIDIA develops a cloud gaming streaming stack that delivers high‑performance, low‑latency video to users worldwide. The Senior System Software Engineer designs and implements video streaming features, optimizes GPU‑accelerated pipelines, and integrates AI models for adaptive streaming. Based in India (Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru), on‑site work model.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop new video streaming functionalities
- Improve image quality, performance, reliability, and security
- Analyze GPU/CPU performance and resolve bottlenecks
- Develop tools to measure video quality
- Leverage latest video compression technologies
- Create quality‑evaluation and analysis capabilities
- Apply machine learning and AI models for adaptive streaming
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years experience
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python
- Strong understanding of real-time GPU‑accelerated video pipelines
- Familiarity with Vulkan, CUDA, OpenGL, DX APIs
- Knowledge of video codecs H.264, HEVC, AV1
- Experience with telemetry and performance monitoring
- Experience integrating AI models into video pipelines
- Understanding of video quality metrics (VMAF, PSNR, SSIM)
