About the role

Commissioning Engineer Team for Fire Alarm System at Johnson Controls builds and commissions fire alarm solutions for smart, sustainable buildings. The role renders commissioning, configures graphics, ensures quality, manages site engineers, and coordinates with clients and vendors. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Render commissioning for Fire Alarm System
• Ensure quality assurance and defect‑free hardware/software delivery
• Test equipment on site and coordinate with architects, clients and contractors
• Manage team of site engineers and technicians
• Maintain KPIs and achieve customer satisfaction
• Maintain relationships with key influencers and obtain certifications

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years experience in Fire Alarm commissioning
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC and relevant codes
• Strong domain knowledge of Fire Alarm systems (Simplex, Edwards, Notifier)
• ME/BE/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Telecommunication

Nice to have

• 5-8 years experience in Fire Alarm commissioning
