Consultant, State Program Lead

About the role

EAII Advisors, Evidence Action’s technical partner in India, supports state governments with evidence‑based health programs such as school deworming and nutrition supplementation. The Consultant leads the Uttar Pradesh state program, overseeing technical assistance, policy advocacy, budgeting, capacity building, and monitoring to ensure effective implementation. Works on‑site in Lucknow with a hybrid team, traveling up to 30% of the time to districts.

What you’ll do

• Develop annual workplans and budgets for state program
• Coordinate technical assistance and capacity‑building activities for deworming initiatives
• Manage state budget, contracts, and financial reporting
• Lead advocacy and stakeholder engagement with health ministries
• Supervise state team staff and consultants
• Analyze program data to inform performance improvements

What you’ll bring

• Graduate degree in medicine, public health, business or related field
• 8+ years managing health or nutrition programs
• 5+ years leading technical assistance initiatives
• Proven budget development and financial management experience
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills
• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
