Senior Financial Accountant I
Bangalore, KA, IN Full-time Hybrid
About the role
International Financial Management (IFM) team at Swiss Re ensures compliant and efficient risk transfers and cash flows for global insurance programmes. The Senior Financial Accountant will technically account for international programme policy transactions, reconcile technical accounts, produce statements, and lead process improvement projects. Bangalore office, hybrid work model with at least three days onsite per week, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Book, reconcile and settle technical accounts for reinsurance transactions
- Produce monthly co‑reinsurance and Network Partner statements
- Resolve reconciliation findings with internal and external teams
- Monitor and report open balances across global partners
- Act as primary contact for technical accounting queries
- Support audits and respond to RFIs/IRFs
- Lead projects to strengthen IFM core processes
- Collaborate with International Desk, Underwriters and Finance teams
What you’ll bring
- CA/CS/ICWA/MBA (Finance)
- 8-10 years relevant experience
- Insurance/reinsurance technical accounting experience
- Knowledge of international insurance programmes
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Project management and process improvement experience
- Excellent English proficiency
