About the role

AtkinsRéalis – Corporate Office Bangalore, the engineering hub delivering sustainable wastewater solutions. The Lead Engineer – Principal Engineer designs and executes 1D‑2D hydraulic models, builds automation tools, and ensures realistic outputs while guiding client relationships and internal teams. Hybrid work model with flexibility and remote opportunities outside the country, Bangalore office base.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and verify 1D‑2D hydraulic models for drainage projects
  • Create automation tools to streamline modelling workflows
  • Ensure model outputs are realistic and meet client requirements
  • Assist project management and maintain client relationships
  • Document deliverables with self‑check methods
  • Support wider business lines and mentor internal team

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years hydraulic design or modelling experience
  • Proficiency with Infowork ICM, Mapinfo, QGIS, Sewer Gems, HEC‑RAS, MicroDrainage
  • Working towards chartership (ICE, CIWEM)
  • Strong self‑motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Flexibility to adopt new challenges
