.Net Full Stack Developer (React JS)

About the role

Cognizant's Technology & Engineering team seeks a .NET Full Stack Developer (React JS) to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable consumer lending applications using .NET technologies, React, and Azure. Day-to-day work includes designing and developing loan origination and servicing workflows, building responsive React front ends, optimizing SQL Server data models, integrating with credit bureaus and payment gateways, and deploying cloud-ready solutions on Azure. The role is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and operates in a hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop secure and scalable consumer lending applications using .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and C# to support efficient loan origination and servicing workflows.
• Implement responsive and accessible user interfaces with React and modern JavaScript patterns to deliver intuitive digital experiences for consumer lending customers across channels.
• Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL Server data models, stored procedures, and queries to ensure reliable transaction processing and insightful portfolio analytics for lending operations.
• Integrate applications with internal and external lending platforms such as credit bureaus, payment gateways, and risk engines to enable straight-through processing and timely credit decisions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API that securely expose lending services for internal applications and partner integrations while maintaining consistent data contracts.
• Use Azure services such as App Service, Functions, Storage, and monitoring tools to build cloud-ready solutions with strong resilience, observability, and cost-optimized performance.
• Implement and enforce coding standards, secure coding practices, and automated unit tests to ensure high-quality, maintainable code that reduces production incidents and technical debt.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and performance issues across the full stack, including .NET services, React front end, and SQL Server database layers, to protect customer trust.

What you’ll bring

• At least four years of hands-on experience in .NET technologies, including .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core Web API, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and object-oriented design for enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and SQL Server, including schema design, indexing, query tuning, and transaction handling for high-volume lending data workloads.
• Proven experience building modern single-page applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with a focus on performance, accessibility, and reusable components.
• Practical experience deploying and operating applications on Azure using services such as App Service, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, and monitoring solutions in a hybrid environment.
• Extensive work in consumer lending domains, including origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections, with understanding of compliance and risk considerations.
• Sound understanding of design patterns, microservice principles, and RESTful best practices to create modular, testable, and extensible lending solutions.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical partners, including documenting decisions and explaining complex issues in simple terms.
• Ability to apply domain knowledge in consumer lending products, policies, and lifecycle events to translate business requirements into robust technical designs and configurable solutions.
