Senior Elastic Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI

About the role

Elastic ML & Gen AI team at Kyndryl builds and scales machine learning and generative AI solutions on the Elastic Stack. The role designs Elastic ML pipelines, creates vector‑based semantic search and RAG workflows, and deploys NLP models in Elasticsearch while partnering with data, platform and product groups. Hyderabad or Mumbai, hybrid‑friendly culture with on‑site presence as required.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement Elastic ML solutions such as anomaly detection and forecasting
• Build semantic and hybrid search using vector search and ELSER
• Develop Gen AI/RAG pipelines integrating LLMs like OpenAI and Azure OpenAI
• Deploy and manage NLP and transformer models in Elasticsearch via Eland
• Create data models, mappings, and ingestion flows for vector and ML workloads
• Tune relevance, embeddings, and retrieval quality
• Build Kibana dashboards and monitoring ML jobs
• Collaborate with data, platform, and product teams to operationalize features

What you’ll bring
