About the role
JLL's Work Dynamics team seeks a Workplace Technical Services Manager to lead an engineering team ensuring workspace functionality and occupant/guest experience across Mumbai, MH. Day-to-day, the role oversees execution of technical requirements, manages engineers and technicians, coordinates with security, dining, landlords, and vendors, and ensures compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and safety standards. The position is based on-site at client offices with mobility across multiple sites.
What you’ll do
- Lead an engineering team dealing with critical engineering equipment to ensure and enhance workspace functionality and occupant/guest experience
- Oversee execution of day-to-day technical requirements, meeting KPIs and vendor partner commitments while ensuring compliance to SOPs and SLAs
- Collaborate with service functions/partners such as Security and Dining Services and with Landlords to deliver consistent service to Occupants and Guests
- Resolve engineering problems on time, escalate technical issues where required, and identify opportunities to improve technical service delivery
- Manage engineers and technicians proactively, including coaching/mentoring, development plans, and regular performance review
- Manage, review, and execute engineering/technical service contracts, including inspections, quality management, tender documentation, evaluation, and contract preparation
- Implement and manage risk and safety work practices, ensure compliance with statutory fire, health, and safety regulations, and maintain crisis management/business continuity/emergency procedures
- Develop and implement energy saving programs, pre-emptive maintenance programs, and periodical inspections for energy conservation, maintenance, utility management, and risk management
What you’ll bring
- Must have Engineering Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical domain
- Minimum 10 years' experience in MEP operation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth technical knowledge and analytic skill set
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements
- Strong PC literacy and ability to manage daily activities using systems such as BMS and other computerized control/monitoring systems
- Fluent in English (verbal), Hindi, and the local language
- Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection System, Electrical system, and BMS system; experience in CRAC, UPS, Chiller plant, or Data Centre operations is required
