About the role

Stryker Global Technology Center drives innovative medical device solutions. As a Principal Engineer UI/UX Designer you will lead creation of intuitive, scalable product experiences, partnering with product managers, engineering leads, and executives to translate complex business problems into user‑centric designs. You will conduct high‑level user research, usability testing, and produce design artifacts while mentoring junior designers. Bengaluru, hybrid work model, 10% travel.

What you’ll do

• Partner with product managers and engineering leads to advocate user‑centric solutions
• Apply design thinking to influence product roadmaps and executive decisions
• Lead user research, usability testing, and analyze quantitative product data
• Translate high‑level business problems into scalable design solutions
• Produce flow diagrams, wireframes, graphic designs, storyboards, and site maps
• Mentor junior and mid‑level designers and champion UX culture

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Communication Design or Interaction Design
• 15+ years UI/UX design experience
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
• Experience with medical device front‑end development and IEC 62366 usability documentation
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design thinking
