Integration Engineer
About the role
As an Engineer in ANZ's Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) Technology Area, you will design, build, test, and support integration solutions while modernising the integration landscape. Day-to-day work includes collaborating with the Product Owner and squad to deliver customer outcomes, designing API and mediation services, supporting testing and incident resolution, and following production release processes. The role is based in Bengaluru and operates on a hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Work with the Product Owner and squad to understand requirements, estimate effort and deliver agreed customer outcomes
- Collaborate with dependent teams to understand upstream and downstream integration requirements
- Design, build and deliver API and mediation services aligned to enterprise standards, patterns, tools and frameworks, including the modernisation of existing integrations
- Support testing, troubleshooting and incident resolution activities by identifying root causes and resolving issues effectively
- Follow production delivery and release processes to deploy integration services into production environments
- Actively participate in continuous improvement practices within the squad and Engineering Chapter
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years of experience with strong hands-on experience designing and building services using NodeJS and REST APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI
- Solid understanding of integration design patterns and delivering scalable, reliable solutions
- Strong experience in GitHub for source control and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions
- Strong technical engineering capability with ability to build depth of expertise while expanding across adjacent technologies
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Experience working with IBM DataPower to build and support integration and mediation services
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, escalating when needed, and driving work end-to-end with accountability
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) with working knowledge of Kubernetes for containerisation and Terraform for infrastructure as code
