About the role

State Street’s Global Technology Services seeks an AWS Platform Operations SRE Engineer to support the cloud native platform in Bangalore. The role focuses on incident management, infrastructure as code via Terraform and Harness, and optimizing uptime through automation. This full-time position requires extensive IT experience with a strong focus on AWS environments.

What you’ll do

Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ITSM
Design and maintain patch management solutions
Implement continuous monitoring and observability enhancements
Execute release management for pre-prod and production
Participate in disaster recovery activities
Standardize metrics and reporting for cost optimization
Maintain operations as code practices
Reduce toil through automation and engineering mindset

What you’ll bring

9+ years of hands-on IT experience
3-5 years designing/supporting AWS environments
Proficiency in Terraform and Harness
Solid SRE operations experience in AWS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Nice to have

Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
Experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, or Grafana
Programming skills in Python, Java, or shell scripts
Financial services or regulated industry experience
Relevant infrastructure or DevOps certifications
