About the role

Pre‑Silicon Validation team at onsemi India builds FPGA‑based emulation platforms to verify power‑conversion ICs before silicon tape‑out. The Staff System Validation Engineer defines validation requirements, ports SoC RTL to FPGA, develops Verilog models, and conducts hardware‑software testing using Python, C/C++ and lab instruments. Bangalore, India, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Port SoC RTL to FPGA, including placement, timing closure, and emulation bring‑up
• Develop Verilog models to emulate analog functions on FPGA
• Perform FPGA verification, system integration, and lab testing
• Use Python and C/C++ for simulation and data analysis
• Conduct pre‑silicon verification using simulation tools and FPGA platforms
• Support ongoing FPGA and board‑level validation activities

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in Electronic or Electrical/Computer Engineering
• 8+ years relevant experience
• Expertise in FPGA design flow (verification, synthesis, partitioning, place & route, timing closure)
• Hands‑on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscope, signal/spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, electronic loads)
• Knowledge of SPI and I2C protocols
