Software Engineer II, Cloud Networking Control Plane

About the role

Nike's Cloud Networking team, part of Cloud & Core Engineering's Runtime Plane, builds a Kubernetes‑native control plane that provisions and reconciles cloud networking across AWS and Azure at enterprise scale. The Software Engineer II will design, code, and test Go‑based features for Crossplane compositions, Kubernetes controllers, and Terraform modules, automating VPCs, Transit Gateways, CloudWAN segments and related services. Work is based in Karnataka, India with a hybrid on‑site model, collaborating with engineers in the U.S. and participating in on‑call rotations.

What you’ll do

• Contribute Go code to Crossplane compositions, CRDs, and Kubernetes controllers
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for multi‑cloud networking
• Build automation for AWS and Azure networking primitives
• Own feature delivery from design through testing and deployment
• Write tests, runbooks, and documentation for operational use
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response
• Review peer pull requests for consistency and reliability

What you’ll bring

• 2-4 years professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS core networking
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and documentation skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane or comparable Kubernetes‑native infrastructure
• Familiarity with Azure networking concepts
