About the role
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Payroll Analyst I to support the CPT APAC payroll process under the APAC Countries Payroll Supervisor. Day-to-day work includes processing accurate payroll and tax calculations, ensuring compliance, responding to employee and Field HR payroll queries, partnering with ADP vendors and Colleague Services Center, and participating in process improvement and audit support. Based in Bangalore, India, this full-time role follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule in a hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Process accurate payroll, tax calculations, and compliance
- Provide customer service to all employees on payroll and tax queries
- Respond to case management activity levels to ensure SLAs are met
- Serve as point of contact for APAC employees and country Field HR teams
- Partner with payroll analysts, ADP payroll vendor, and Colleague Services Center
- Support investigations and analysis to resolve root causes of payroll problems
- Work with colleagues across the business to ensure smooth end-to-end payroll processing
- Participate in improvement projects and support internal control standards/audits
What you’ll bring
- Graduate degree
- 3-4 years of overall APAC Payroll & HR Ops experience
- Experience handling APAC payroll in a time-critical, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience with payroll processes, compliance regulations, and country schemes
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize multiple entity payrolls concurrently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate payroll items to all levels of employees
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Workday and ServiceNow
- Experience in a multi-national company
