About the role

Motor Control Engineering team at NXP India develops advanced motor control solutions for home appliances, HVAC and renewable energy systems. The Senior Motor Control Engineer designs, implements and tunes control algorithms, hardware and firmware on NXP microcontroller platforms, and leads technical reviews while mentoring junior engineers. Noida, India, On-site.

What you’ll do

• Develop and optimize advanced motor control algorithms for inverter‑based appliances and HVAC
• Design, implement and tune current, speed and torque control loops using PI/PID controllers
• Create and refine FOC, Sensorless FOC, MTPA, Field Weakening and SVPWM algorithms
• Develop hardware and firmware solutions on NXP microcontroller platforms from concept to production
• Implement motor control software on ARM‑based NXP MCUs using Embedded C++ and RTOS
• Build simulation models and validate control strategies in MATLAB/Simulink
• Apply power electronics expertise to support inverter and motor drive topologies
• Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers and support end‑to‑end product development

Nice to have

• 8-12 years motor control experience
• Expertise with PMSM, BLDC, Induction and SRM motors
• Proficient in FOC, Sensorless FOC, MTPA, Field Weakening
• Design and tuning of current, speed and torque loops
• Embedded development on NXP MCX, Kinetis, LPC, i.MX RT
• Embedded C/C++ and RTOS programming
• MATLAB/Simulink model‑based design
• Power electronics knowledge for inverters and PFC
