Administrator - Fund Accounting

About the role

HSBC Securities Services, Global Banking & Markets Service Centre Kolkata’s office, within the Trade Processing Shell, is hiring an Administrator – Fund Accounting to support fund accounting operations. Day-to-day, you will review postings and uploads, produce accurate Trade Packs within deadlines, maintain fund accounting records, respond to Business Partner and stakeholder queries, update MIS/trackers, and uphold internal control, compliance, and audit standards. The role is an individual contributor position based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, requiring flexibility to work in shifts and collaborate with global counterparts.

What you’ll do

• Review postings/uploads and ensure all downstream/Business Partner queries are responded to in a timely manner
• Produce accurate Trade Packs within set deadlines for review
• Input and maintain accurate fund accounting records where applicable
• Update daily Management Information System/trackers as required by the process
• Adhere to defined process KPIs and Performance Level Agreement, and follow up/close open items timely
• Adhere to HSBC internal control standards, support internal/external reviews, and ensure compliance with no breaches
• Enhance Job-Aid Matrix, SOPs, process notes, checklists, KPIs and internal processes as required
• Participate in projects for improvement in delivery quality and/or timeliness

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other qualifications relevant to the accounting/finance industry
• 0-2 years of relevant/accounting work experience
• Proficiency in EXCEL essential
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial instruments
• Basic knowledge in accounting principles and fundamentals of Accounting
• Ability to Speak and understand English
• Good interpersonal and team work skills
• Organized and detail oriented
