About the role
Power T&D team at AtkinsRéalis leads HV and EHV substation design across UK, Canada and ANZ. The Sr. Principal Engineer drives FEED and detailed design of 132kV‑765kV AIS, GIS and HVDC substations, mentors junior staff and ensures client delivery excellence. Based in Gurgaon, with additional sites in Bristol and Bangalore, the role offers hybrid work and relocation support.
What you’ll do
- Lead FEED and detailed design of HV/EHV substations
- Prepare primary deliverables: SLD, layouts, BOQ, specs
- Conduct HVDC performance specs and power system studies
- Mentor junior engineers
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams
- Support construction, testing and commissioning
- Prepare bid documents and evaluations
- Ensure client delivery and quality
What you’ll bring
- 15+ years HV/EHV substation design
- Graduate/Post‑Graduate Electrical Engineering
- Experience with HVDC LCC & VSC
- Proficiency in PSCAD
- AutoCAD 2D
