Application Architect

About the role

Kyndryl seeks an Application Architect in Bangalore to lead enterprise application architecture and drive digital modernization. The role involves designing scalable cloud-native systems, enforcing security standards, and managing complex integrations across legacy and modern platforms. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring deep expertise in API and microservices architecture.

What you’ll do

• Lead design, governance, and enhancement of enterprise application architectures for digital modernization
• Establish technology roadmaps and shape overarching application strategies
• Enforce compliance with enterprise architecture standards and corporate security policies
• Collaborate with business leaders and vendors to drive decisive architecture choices
• Conduct architectural reviews and risk assessments to maximize operational stability
• Create detailed functional/technical design specifications and architectural diagrams
• Map complex integration workflows, API orchestrations, and data exchange pathways
• Bridge communication gaps between development squads and infrastructure groups

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years as an Application Enterprise Architect in support and development roles
• Deep expertise in Enterprise/Application Architecture, Microservices, and API Architecture
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and DevOps/CI/CD
• Experience in large, globally distributed environments with multi-vendor teams
• Robust understanding of Database Design, Data Architecture, and Security/Compliance Frameworks
• Familiarity with TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture methodologies
• Prior hands-on development experience in Java, .NET, or VB with Oracle/SQL databases
• Knowledge of ERP/COTS packages like SAP, Workday, or Dynamics 365
