About the role

Technology Architecture team at Citigroup designs enterprise-grade solutions across application, data and cloud platforms. The Senior Java Solutions Architect leads end‑to‑end design of Java Spring Boot microservices, integrates high‑performance data pipelines with Oracle and Snowflake, and drives DevOps automation using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Chennai, hybrid (remote and on‑site), relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end cloud‑native solutions using Java and Angular
• Architect and integrate high‑performance data pipelines across Oracle and Snowflake
• Lead microservices and API architecture ensuring scalability and reliability
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and governance across teams
• Drive DevOps automation with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes
• Enforce enterprise security, performance and compliance standards
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align business needs with technical strategy
• Manage execution of IT strategy and roadmap for assigned technology area

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years application development or systems analysis experience
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices and API design
• Architecting scalable cloud‑native solutions
• Data pipeline design with Oracle, Snowflake, MongoDB
• DevOps automation with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Security implementation using OAuth2, JWT, encryption
• Leadership and mentorship of development teams
• Experience in financial services or large global environments
