About the role
Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer – India: A senior electrical professional responsible for directing all electrical commissioning and testing activities on data‑center projects. The role requires technical leadership, coordination with contractors and vendors, review of design documents, development of test scripts and acceptance tests, and ensuring safety and schedule compliance. The engineer will manage progress, communicate risks, and maintain quality standards while working in a construction environment with extensive travel.
What you’ll do
- Lead electrical commissioning & testing activities
- Act as technical advisor on feasibility & cost
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and client
- Review design documents & approve for commissioning
- Develop test scripts, ITPs, FAT/FWT
- Ensure quality & schedule adherence
- Track progress & update stakeholders
- Identify scope changes & manage risks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- OSHA safety knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Read and interpret electrical schematics & P&IDs
- Mission‑critical design concepts
- Electrical distribution switchgear, substations, UPS, ATS, batteries, diesel generators
- Power quality analysis
