Associate Director - Program Management Expert

About the role

TIAA Global Capabilities seeks an Associate Director - Program Management Expert in Pune, India, to lead strategic, enterprise-scale programs from initiation to delivery. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, aligns initiatives with business and product strategy, and drives execution within budget and on time. The position is full-time and requires 5+ years of experience (7+ preferred), with a university degree preferred.

What you’ll do

• Lead and oversee multiple high-impact, cross-functional programs that drive business and product success
• Develop long-term program roadmaps aligned with business and product strategy
• Act as a trusted advisor to executives and senior leadership, ensuring programs align with company objectives
• Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, influencing strategic decisions and execution
• Work directly with C-level executives, VPs, and senior leadership to communicate program status, risks, and opportunities
• Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure alignment of business goals with program execution
• Implement and refine enterprise Agile frameworks (SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, or similar) to improve efficiency
• Proactively identify enterprise-level risks and dependencies across multiple programs and teams

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of program management experience required (7+ years preferred)
• University degree preferred
• Deep expertise in Agile, SAFe, Lean, and other enterprise frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, multi-team, enterprise-level programs
• Strong ability to drive executive communication and manage C-level stakeholders
• Extensive experience working with Product, Engineering, and Business teams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing specific projects with a distinct beginning and end, including people and resource management through others

Nice to have

PMP, SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, PgMP or equivalent certifications
