About the role
Cybersecurity team at Jolera builds and operates enterprise Elastic environments for security and observability. The Senior Elastic Engineer leads architecture, design, and optimization of Elastic clusters, creates ingestion pipelines, and drives AWS-backed infrastructure automation. Remote work, based in India or Sri Lanka, with global collaboration and mentorship responsibilities.
What you’ll do
- Design and continuously improve enterprise Elastic environments
- Define best practices for scalability, resilience, and lifecycle management
- Build and optimize Logstash and ingestion pipelines for high‑volume data
- Lead large‑scale Elastic Agent and Fleet deployments
- Integrate diverse security and observability telemetry sources
- Design AWS‑backed Elastic infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and optimize cost drivers across compute, storage, and retention
- Mentor engineers and contribute to platform roadmap
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years hands‑on Elastic experience
- Elastic Certified Engineer and Observability Engineer
- Strong programming in Python, Java, or Ruby
- Expertise in Elasticsearch architecture and query DSL
- Experience with AWS services (S3, compute, IAM)
- Cybersecurity background with threat detection
- Advanced Logstash, GROK, and ingest pipeline skills
- Leadership of platform modernization initiatives
