About the role

Medical Device Software Team at Philips builds patient monitoring interoperability solutions. The Senior Software Technologist designs, develops and tests C++ components for embedded Linux devices, implements unit and integration tests with GTest and BDD, and collaborates in an international Scrum team. Bangalore, on-site with at least 3 days per week in the Embassy Business Hub office.

What you’ll do

Own design, development and testing of software components for patient monitoring
Analyze requirements and create high-quality embedded Linux code
Implement automated test suites and conduct code reviews
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with interoperability experts
Adopt AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity
Support lifecycle activities including documentation and defect resolution

What you’ll bring

10+ years embedded Linux development
Advanced C++ (C++17/20/23)
Object-oriented design, memory management, multithreading
Performance optimization in resource-constrained environments
Unit testing with GTest and BDD using Gherkin
Git, ADO/GitHub, Visual Studio, CMake

Nice to have

Experience with HL7/FHIR/IEEE 11073 SDC is a plus
Familiarity with security-by-design, TLS, threat modeling

Education
