SAP ABAP HANA Upgrade Consultant

About the role

Zettamine Labs seeks an experienced SAP ABAP HANA Upgrade Consultant to lead technical upgrade initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in ABAP development, SAP HANA migration, and upgrade tools such as SPAU, SPAU_ENH, and SPDD. The consultant will manage RICEFW objects, troubleshoot issues across functional and technical teams, and mentor junior staff. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and coordination skills are essential. Candidates should have 4–6 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP experience, proven upgrade project experience, and familiarity with OSS note creation. What you’ll do

• Lead SAP ABAP tasks during system upgrades to SAP HANA
• Perform and oversee SPAU, SPAU_ENH, and SPDD activities
• Handle RICEFW objects independently
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during upgrade, FUT, UAT, and post‑upgrade phases
• Delegate tasks, manage defect tracking, ensure timely follow‑ups
• Guide and mentor junior team members on defect resolution and upgrade methodologies
• Raise and manage OSS messages to SAP for standard issues
• Ensure effective communication with cross‑stream teams to maintain upgrade timelines and quality

What you’ll bring

• 4–6 years SAP ABAP experience with upgrade projects
• Proficient in SPAU, SPAU_ENH, SPDD tools
• Strong RICEFW development skills
