About the role
Marvell packaging organization develops advanced semiconductor packages meeting high-speed electrical requirements. The engineer designs, models, and characterizes signal and power integrity for packages supporting 448 Gb/s data rates, collaborates with suppliers, marketing, and IC designers, and automates workflows using Python. Bangalore, on-site, relocation available.
What you’ll do
- Develop package electrical designs and models for signal and power integrity
- Perform EM simulations and characterize high-speed performance
- Collaborate with suppliers to select technologies and ensure manufacturability
- Define package specifications with marketing and IC designers
- Automate SI/PI workflows using Python scripts
- Validate designs against reliability and cost targets
- Support new product introduction from concept through production
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years of IC package development
- Experience with 2-D and 3-D EM simulation tools (Ansys HFSS, SI-Wave, Cadence Clarity)
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
- Knowledge of transmission line and microwave theory
- Familiarity with package layout tools (APD, PADS)
- Experience with circuit design tools (Spectre, ADS, HSpice)
- Understanding of power plane design and analysis tools (PowerSI, SIwave)
- Experience with high-speed signaling and EMI/EMC debugging
