About the role

This Lead Manufacturing/Factory Test Engineer role supports current and future equipment introductions for HVDC product testing at the Pallavaram location. Day-to-day work includes maintaining and upgrading test processes and equipment, implementing test equipment for manufacturing, performing calibration, providing operator training and production support, and serving as first response for equipment breakdowns. The position requires strong hands-on experience with HVDC products and power electronics, and relocation assistance is provided.

What you’ll do

Support current and future equipment introductions for the testing of HVDC Products
Ensure efficient execution of complex electronic assembly testing, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for test equipment
Implement change for Test Equipment
Maintain and upgrade developed Test processes and equipment, including calibration, variant changes, risk assessment, and work instructions
Implement Test equipment in a timely manner to facilitate manufacturing
Work in a team environment to solve issues to keep manufacturing goals and milestones
Maintain calibration of test equipment
Provide operator training and production support, and serve as first response for breakdown of equipment

What you’ll bring

8-14 years' experience in a Manufacturing Test environment with experience of Automated Manufacturing test equipment
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent in a related discipline
Good hands-on experience on HVDC product/Power electronics with high voltage testing, Solar Inverters, HVDC converters, UPS, LV/MV drives, Oscilloscope, and power systems study
EHS compliance and safe working practices
Understanding of IT requirements for Test system integration
Ability to deliver results and address and resolve technical issues
Experience in working with global stakeholders in Manufacturing industry
Fully conversant with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 and preferably 18001
