About the role
The Diabetes Operating Unit (MiniMed) at Medtronic seeks a Sales Executive to drive adoption and utilization of diabetes management solutions across an assigned territory in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Day-to-day, you will build relationships with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders, educate customers on clinical and operational benefits, execute territory business plans, and support tenders and commercial documentation while collaborating with cross-functional commercial and clinical teams. This is a remote role requiring approximately 30% travel within the territory, and employment is expected to transfer to MiniMed following local legal and employment processes.
What you’ll do
- Drive sales performance across the assigned territory to achieve or exceed revenue and market share objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital stakeholders, and key decision-makers within assigned accounts
- Educate customers on the clinical and operational benefits of Diabetes products and solutions
- Provide product, procedural, and technical support during customer interactions and clinical activities as required
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with regional and operating unit objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand product adoption and customer reach
- Support tender preparation, pricing submissions, and required commercial documentation within established timelines
- Maintain accurate account records, sales forecasts, and customer activity updates using approved business systems
What you’ll bring
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience, OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated experience achieving sales targets and managing customer accounts within an assigned territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to travel up to 30% within the assigned territory
Nice to have
- 2+ years of medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience within the diabetes therapy area
- Experience supporting public hospitals, healthcare institutions, or government healthcare accounts
- Knowledge of insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, or diabetes management solutions
- Experience participating in tender processes and commercial documentation activities
- Ability to analyze territory performance data and translate insights into business growth plans
