About the role
ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) aims to be the preferred global technology partner for commercial transportation. This role focuses on manufacturing engineering, including process planning, capacity enhancement, and establishing work standards. The position is based in Chennai, India, as a full-time on-site job.
What you’ll do
- Develop detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Establish lean equipment specifications and work standards
- Perform capacity enhancement and de-bottlenecking activities
- Follow up on design and construction of equipment and workstations
- Identify wastes in manufacturing processes and define ergonomic standards
- Maintain material handling standards for in-house processes
- Implement Smart Factory initiatives and digitalization of plant layouts
What you’ll bring
- BE in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years in industrial or production engineering
- At least 3 years in machining process planning
- Experience with PFD, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Knowledge of Lean Equipment Specification and TPM
- Hands-on experience in new product productionising
Nice to have
Post-graduation in relevant disciplines is an added advantage
