Java Developer

About the role

Java Developer role focused on building scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture. Day-to-day work includes designing RESTful APIs, implementing event-driven systems with Kafka or Solace/MQ, writing clean testable code, and participating across the full SDLC from requirements to production support. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and Microservices following enterprise architecture and coding standards
• Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous applications using Kafka or Solace/MQ
• Develop Kafka producers/consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message-processing workflows
• Work with Solace PubSub+ / MQ for reliable messaging and event distribution where applicable
• Implement unit and integration testing using appropriate Java testing frameworks
• Perform code reviews and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud/containerized application deployments where required

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Proficiency in Core Java including Java 8+, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading
• Experience with Spring Boot and Microservices development
• Ability to design and integrate RESTful APIs following enterprise architecture and coding standards
• Experience designing event-driven and asynchronous applications using Kafka or Solace/MQ
• Knowledge of Kafka producers/consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message-processing workflows
• Experience implementing business logic, data processing, error handling, and exception management
• Familiarity with the complete SDLC including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
