About the role
Copeland, a global climate technology leader, seeks a Senior Power Electronics EMC Engineer to join its Pune team. The role focuses on designing and validating power electronics for HVACR products, ensuring compliance with EMC standards such as CISPR, IEC, and FCC. Candidates will work on VFDs, MOSFET/IGBT/SMPS circuits, perform EMC testing, develop mitigation strategies, and collaborate across hardware, software, and mechanical disciplines. The position requires strong hardware design skills, simulation expertise, and experience with EMC test equipment. What you’ll do
- Design power electronics for HVACR products
- Perform EMC testing and develop mitigation strategies
- Create and validate EMC test plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Lead internal/external EMC testing
- Maintain design guidelines and compliance documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics
- 3+ years EMC design, testing, and compliance experience
- Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, anechoic chambers
- Strong grounding, shielding, and filtering knowledge
- Familiarity with CISPR, IEC, FCC, and other global EMC standards
- Ability to calibrate and maintain EMC test equipment
