Reconciliation Manager
About the role
Alter Domus is a global provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, serving top asset managers across private markets. The Reconciliation Manager will lead a team in Hyderabad responsible for ongoing management of all cash reconciliations within the North American Client Service Platform (NA CSP). Day-to-day, you will supervise and mentor reconciliation specialists, ensure accurate and timely portfolio reconciliations, design robust processes, drive automation and efficiency improvements, and maintain a 24-hour operating model to support global operations. This is the first-level managerial role focused on accurate deliverables and people management.
What you’ll do
- Supervise, mentor and develop a team of reconciliation specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Utilise strong technical knowledge to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reconciliation issues and provide insights into open items, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and minimizing disruption during the transition phas
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies; prepare and review reconciliation packs and provide sign off.
- Maintain agreed KPI and SLA metrics for internal monitoring and enhance the performance of the end-to-end reconciliation process.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, implement best practices and drive automation to increase efficiency.
- Ensure a 24-hour reconciliation operating model to support global operations and improve service coverage.
- Build and lead a high-performance reconciliation team in India, focused on achieving month-end close targets.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in funds administration, financial operations, or related areas, with a strong focus on reconciliation processes.
- Sound knowledge of Syndicated Loans/private loans and structured credit products like CDOs and CLOs.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale transitions, preferably in a global context.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in developing and implementing KPIs and SLAs in a financial operations environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across different levels of the organization.
