About the role

Accenture seeks a Silicon Firmware & Embedded Engineer in Bengaluru to develop pre-silicon firmware and software with direct hardware interfaces. The role involves writing C/C++ code, integrating build flows, and validating product implementations within a dynamic team environment. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring significant embedded systems expertise.

What you’ll do

• Write software that powers and operates silicon chips
• Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with direct hardware interfaces
• Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flows
• Perform design and code reviews
• Test and validate product implementations
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of application components
• Document design specifications, code changes, and testing procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• 15 years full-time education
• Proficient in Embedded C++ and C
• Strong experience in Embedded Linux platform/BSP development
• Hands-on with U-Boot, Linux kernel, Device Tree, and Yocto

Nice to have

• Strong Linux internals knowledge including bootflow, IPC, memory management, MMU, interrupts, and SMP
• Good knowledge of Custom Hardware Bring-up controllers (ARM, PowerPC, x86)
• Hands-on SoC/platform bring-up experience
• Experience optimizing memory usage via stack/heap tuning and memory pools
• Comfortable reading low-level firmware and kernel code
