SAP FICO Costing Consultant

About the role

Syntax Consulting Services team enables enterprises to implement and manage SAP ERP solutions at scale. The SAP FICO Costing Consultant leads configuration and support for SAP FICO, PS, and Costing streams, designs integrated finance and project cost structures, and collaborates with treasury and finance leads to ensure end‑to‑end cost and revenue tracking. Hyderabad, hybrid work model with flexible remote days.

What you’ll do

• Lead configuration and support for SAP FICO, PS, and Costing modules
• Design and implement integrated finance and project cost structures aligned to client needs
• Configure FI (GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting), CO, and PS modules and integrate PS with FICO and MM
• Support standard Costing Run, KKS, and CKMLCP processes
• Collaborate with Treasury and Finance leads on cashflow and posting alignment
• Prepare functional specifications, unit testing, and training materials
• Participate in Fit‑to‑Standard workshops, SIT, UAT, and Go‑Live support
• Ensure quality, timelines, and proactive issue resolution

What you’ll bring

• 8-10+ years SAP functional consulting experience
• Deep expertise in Finance and Controlling (FICO) and Project Systems (PS)
• Hands‑on SAP S/4HANA Finance (2020 or later)
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end budgeting, settlement, and reporting processes
• Familiarity with Controlling objects and cost flow between FI‑CO‑PS
• Exposure to Treasury/Cash Management processes
• Excellent documentation, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead independent workstreams and coordinate globally
