About the role

Nike’s Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) team builds demand planning and pricing platforms for enterprise-wide use. As a Lead Software Engineer you will drive the technical roadmap, design and develop highly scalable backend microservices, mentor engineers and collaborate with product and business partners. Karnataka, India, on-site.

What you’ll do

• Own and drive technical roadmap for demand planning domain
• Design and build scalable Java Spring Boot microservices
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven services
• Lead architectural design and technical reviews
• Mentor engineers and foster engineering culture
• Collaborate with product, business, and architecture teams
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, observability, and DevOps practices
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity

What you’ll bring

• 8-12 years building scalable backend systems
• 2+ years technical leadership
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
• Full-stack development and system architecture expertise
• API design, microservices, and cloud-native patterns
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Data engineering experience with Spark or Databricks
• AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
