About the role

Software Engineer III - Java at JPMorgan Chase in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, within the Consumer & Community Banking business. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you design and deliver trusted, secure, and scalable technology products, executing software solutions, development, and technical troubleshooting across multiple technical areas. You produce architecture and design artifacts, build high-quality production code, leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools, and support live production systems and migrations.

What you’ll do

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, docu
  • Apply tools within the SDLC toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve value realized by automation
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Write automated unit tests, functional tests, and end-to-end test automation using tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, Java, and Playwright; deliver metrics-based product features for fun

What you’ll bring

  • Platform engineering experience with production support and development of microservices focused on key performance metrics, Observability, and SRE knowledge
  • Secure Development life cycle, complete service ownership in DevOps model, CI/CD tooling, Static and Dynamic Code review tools (e.g., SonarQube, CheckMarx)
  • Java 17+ Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud microservices; Kafka, REST APIs, Splunk, Dynatrace, strong SQL, NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, React-based front-end UI development
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment
