Model Governance Manager

About the role

Experian is seeking a Model Governance Manager for its Data Quality & Model Governance function in Mumbai, India. The role focuses on reviewing model development and documentation, monitoring model performance, conducting root cause analysis, and managing the full model lifecycle in partnership with analytics, product, and technology teams. The position is hybrid and requires 6+ years of experience in core analytics within a large bank or consulting firm.

What you’ll do

• Review the development process and documentation for models and provide constructive feedback for improvements
• Regularly monitor the performance of all models
• Perform root cause analysis on model-related issues and propose solutions
• Review UAT results for model deployments
• Conduct meetings of the Model Governance Committee
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to model governance
• Work closely with the analytics team to manage the entire lifecycle of models
• Work with the product and technology teams to manage model deployments and changes

What you’ll bring

• At least 6 years of experience in an analytics role in banking and financial services
• Hands-on experience in developing credit risk models
• Knowledge of modelling frameworks such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Decision Tree
• Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms including Gradient Boost and KNN
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Experience reviewing model development processes and documentation and providing improvement feedback
• Experience monitoring model performance and conducting root cause analysis on model issues
• Experience reviewing UAT results for model deployments
