Embedded Software Engineer - AS Core

About the role

Aptiv seeks an Embedded SW Engineer for its AS Core team in Bangalore, India. The role involves designing and maintaining embedded software for automotive applications using RTOS and microcontroller architectures. Daily tasks include implementing communication protocols, integrating modules, and ensuring compliance with AUTOSAR and ASPICE standards. This is a full-time, on-site position.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications
• Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures
• Integrate embedded software development activities following AUTOSAR and ASPICE standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop software architectures
• Lead testing and debugging efforts using tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe
• Manage embedded software requirements using DOORS to ensure traceability
• Document software design specifications, test plans, and validation reports
• Conduct code reviews and perform static analysis to validate software integrity

What you’ll bring

• Experience with embedded software development for automotive applications
• Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols
• Familiarity with microcontroller architectures
• Understanding of AUTOSAR and ASPICE standards

Nice to have

• Experience with Vector CANalyzer or CANoe tools
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit
