Associate Specialist, Implementation

About the role

CIS (Customer Implementation Services) Team at Mastercard implements and tests payment products with financial institutions worldwide. The Associate Specialist leads cross‑functional implementation projects, manages end‑to‑end execution, conducts testing of network interfaces and APIs, and resolves customer escalations to ensure smooth production payments. Pune, India – on‑site role.

What you’ll do

• Manage end‑to‑end implementation projects with external customers
• Assess and document customer needs and drive projects using global methodology
• Conduct in‑depth testing of data elements, network configurations and interfaces
• Handle customer escalations autonomously and ensure high satisfaction
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers and CIS team
• Identify testing gaps and recommend improvements for production readiness

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, Exact Sciences, Business or equivalent
• Strong project management and testing skills
• Advanced understanding of payment systems and Mastercard products
• Experience with Webservices, API integration patterns, ISO standards
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions
• Experience leading customers through complex projects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
