About the role

HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking's Business Banking team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India seeks a Vice President - Relationship Manager - BB to drive SME market growth. The role involves sourcing and managing Business Banking customers, winning new quality business from competitors, developing a network of business introducers, and managing existing portfolio clients with cross-selling and credit appraisal underwriting. The position requires 5-7 years of experience and a Post Graduation or CA qualification.

What you’ll do

• Source and manage Business Banking customers and relationships
• Allocate time and resources effectively to win new quality business from competitors
• Develop and maintain a robust network of business introducers
• Drive revenue growth via acquisition of quality new relationships and increased referral business
• Manage existing portfolio clients and cross-sell products
• Underwrite credit appraisals

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of work experience
• Post Graduation or CA qualification is mandatory
• Strong B2B experience in the Banking space
• Good knowledge of Trade, Cash management, and Treasury products
• Strong experience in creating new business opportunities
• Experience in acquiring clients for the organization
• Must complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and assessment
• Required certification/equivalent qualification per RBI Capacity Building Certification Requirement for Bank

Nice to have

Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage
