About the role
Brightstone is redefining residential property management across India by enhancing resident satisfaction and property value for housing societies. As Fire & Safety Officer at the Palm Beach Residency site in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, you will oversee safety and security for the designated site, prevent security lapses, and act as first responder to emergency and non-emergency situations. You will supervise security staff, conduct fire and evacuation drills, manage compliance and incident reporting, and coordinate with the Property Manager and government authorities. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Mumbai, MH.
What you’ll do
- Supervise security staff, assign and monitor work assignments, and provide training in daily security procedures, customer service skills, basic life safety, and first aid.
- Maintain and update security policies, checklists, and procedure manuals.
- Apply working knowledge of building security panels and fire and life safety code requirements.
- Manage manpower records for on-roll and contract staff, including training, compliance documents, and scheduling details.
- Ensure weekly fire drills are carried out for security and unit staff, and perform lift evacuation and rescue drills periodically.
- Physically patrol the designated area, focusing on elevators and all areas of ingress/egress; use surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarms; control building access and monitor visitor
- Conduct security investigations and prepare incident reports; track material movement and lost and found stock.
- Maintain regular communication with the Property Manager, team members, and clients regarding events, incidents, security team concerns, recommendations, and staffing needs.
What you’ll bring

- Experience maintaining and updating security policies, checklists, and procedure manuals.
- Capability to manage manpower records for on-roll and contract staff, including training, compliance documents, and scheduling.
- Ability to conduct weekly fire drills for security and unit staff and perform lift evacuation and rescue drills periodically.
- Experience physically patrolling designated areas, using surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarms, and controlling building access and visitor monitoring.
- Ability to conduct security investigations, prepare incident reports, and track material movement and lost and found stock.
- Capability to coordinate emergencies, including transferring injured persons to hospitals and liaising with local doctors and legal bodies.
