SAP FICA + CO Specialist

About the role

Cognizant's Technology & Engineering department in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an SAP FICA + CO specialist to lead SAP FI-CA implementations and functional support. Day-to-day work includes analyzing and mapping client business requirements, providing functional expertise and bug fixes, building client relationships, and supporting internal activities such as remote consulting, presales, and knowledge-sharing sessions. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.

What you’ll do

• Responsible primarily for successful implementation of SAP product in the area of FI-CA
• Analyzes and maps clients business requirements, processes and objectives
• Provides functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and fixing of bugs
• Builds credible relationship with clients and develops own professional learning of SAP products/technologies and solutions
• Assists in internal activities - remote/spot consulting, presales, prepare training materials and provide knowledge sharing sessions

What you’ll bring

• 6–12 years of relevant experience
• Good FI-CA knowledge (or equivalent industry-specific FI-CA-based sub-ledger such as RM-CA in IS-Telco, FI-CA in IS-U, or FSCD/PSCD)
• Understanding of business process requirements and capabilities with key SAP integrated components (FI-CO, FSCM, BI, SD, ISU-Billing)
• Knowledge of FI-CA event-based technology
• Good analytical skills and effectiveness in problem solving
• Ability to present complex information to customers and colleagues clearly
• Results-oriented and effectiveness in problem solving

Nice to have

Understanding of pricing, charging, and billing business processes is a plus
