About the role

Data Center Field Engineering Team owns the lifecycle of AWS data centers, driving availability, capacity and cost‑performance improvements. The Regional Electrical Field Engineer troubleshoots failures, leads root‑cause analysis, designs upgrades and supports new‑build construction, collaborating with operations, design and external vendors. Mumbai, MH, IND – on‑site role with up to 25% travel to other regions.

What you’ll do

• Analyze and resolve electrical design and equipment failures through RCA and corrective actions
• Design and implement upgrades to improve capacity, availability and safety
• Provide direct engineering support during new data‑center construction and commissioning
• Collaborate with operations, design, hardware and safety teams to maintain standards
• Train and assist operations technicians on complex procedures
• Lead multiple concurrent projects across regions
• Interface with vendors, utilities and contractors for solutions
• Act as technical advisor during critical events

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years experience in mission‑critical facilities
• Knowledge of data‑center electrical systems (substations, UPS, PDUs, generators, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Experience handling ambiguity and delivering results in agile environments
• Complex project solution development and execution
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Resident engineer or field‑design consultant background
