About the role

The Associate Director advises senior leaders on labour relations, collective bargaining, compliance and dispute resolution while shaping regional employment strategies. What you’ll do
- Provide daily legal counsel on employment and labour matters to HR and business leaders
- Develop and implement employment strategies and policies for India and APAC regions
- Support collective bargaining negotiations and union discussions
- Manage labour disputes, disciplinary actions and grievance processes
- Ensure compliance with labour statutes, factory regulations and statutory requirements
- Supervise and coordinate outside counsel on employment litigation
- Partner with internal stakeholders to assess risk and recommend solutions
- Build relationships across the organization to address employment issues
What you’ll bring
- Law degree (LLB/LLM preferred)
- 12+ years experience as an India‑qualified employment lawyer
- Deep knowledge of Indian labour law and APAC regulations (Singapore, HK, KR, TW, MY, PH)
- Proven negotiation experience with unions and collective bargaining
- Experience in manufacturing/industrial settings
- Ability to travel on short notice
- Kannada speaking ability
