Senior SAP BRIM Functional Consultant

About the role

Cognizant is hiring a Senior SAP BRIM Functional Consultant (BRIM Heavy / OTC) within its Technology & Engineering department. The role focuses on owning end-to-end SAP BRIM functional design, configuration, testing, and integrations for subscription billing, convergent invoicing, revenue recognition, and order-to-cash processes. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, the position operates on a hybrid model with remote options as per project needs.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end SAP BRIM functional design for New Business, Renewals, Upsells, Amendments, and Cancellations
• Configure and support SAP BRIM modules including SOM, CI, and FI-CA
• Work with SAP RAR for revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance use cases
• Translate business requirements into BRIM functional designs and configurations
• Lead unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production validation
• Partner with technical teams on SAP S/4HANA–BRIM and BRIM–EMS integrations
• Perform defect analysis, RCA, and solutioning in BRIM landscapes
• Act as BRIM functional SME for business, finance, and engineering stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on SAP BRIM experience (mandatory)
• Deep understanding of subscription-based OTC processes
• 8+ years of SAP Functional / Business Analyst experience
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA integrated with SAP BRIM
• Expertise in subscription lifecycle, billing plans, contract management, and collections
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Ability to independently own BRIM functional decisions
• Strong communication skills across business and technical teams
