Senior Performance Test Engineer

About the role

Performance Engineering team at Amtech focuses on ensuring applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals. The Senior Performance Test Engineer designs, develops, and executes performance tests, analyzes results, and collaborates with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to drive improvements. Bangalore, India, On-site, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Define performance testing strategies for on-prem and SaaS products
• Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and frameworks
• Execute baseline, load, stress, and endurance tests and analyze metrics
• Identify bottlenecks across UI, API, database, and infrastructure layers
• Collaborate with development and DevOps to recommend optimizations
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
• Produce performance reports and lead root cause analysis of issues
• Mentor teams on performance engineering best practices

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years performance testing experience
• 3+ years designing load, stress, and scalability tests
• Proficiency with JMeter, k6, Gatling, Locust, LoadRunner or similar
• Strong SQL and database performance troubleshooting
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace
• Scripting in JavaScript, Python or Java
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
