About the role
Optiv's Cyber Operations team in Bangalore is hiring a Senior Endpoint Engineer for on-site, post-sales product and service implementation. The role involves deploying and managing endpoint security technologies, performing health checks and policy analysis, triaging malware alerts, and collaborating with tech leads to ensure secure products while meeting consulting billing objectives. The position requires 24/7 shift flexibility with rotation between days, mids, and nights, and operates on a work-from-office model.
What you’ll do
- Completing assigned post-sales implementation projects consistent with the team's Operational Standard and providing exceptional customer service
- Meeting consulting billing objectives
- Performing regular checks on synchronization, monitoring and health checks
- Providing recommendations to the Customer security team on changes to global policies, analyzing application and configuration settings, policies and custom rule sets, and historical performance data
- Working knowledge of triaging malware alerts
- Working collaboratively with Tech Leads and software/products architects to ensure secure products
- Understanding and managing the requirements of being part of a 24x7 on-call operation, including shift hand-over, operational advice, guidance, support and escalation
- Performing reporting and documentation
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years of relevant experience focused on minimum two endpoint security technologies like EDR, XDR (CrowdStrike, MS Defender, Sentinel One, Cortex, Netskope, MCAS) and DLP
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in Endpoint Security Platforms (EDR, XDR, DLP, Encryption)
- Good knowledge of Malware / Threats
- Working knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, DLP, UEBA and hybrid/Cloud Security environments
- Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts
- Knowledge of and experience with related Workstation and Server technologies
- Good knowledge on ITIL, Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management
